esso gift card not accepted
I filled up with gas and went inside to pay with $100 Esso gift card. The attendent was unable to complete the transaction as she was not rained how to ring it through and "the system was down". She asked for another method of payment which i did not have as I did not have my wallet with me. I told her i could go home and come back in 20 min. I was told if i left she would call the cops as it was theft.. I reminded her that this is an esso issue which they need to sort out and it was not my fault they could not figure out how to process an esso issued card. I also indicated that as it was their problem that they should not treaten customers that they would call the cops. We proceeded to have a heated discussion for over an hour in front of all the other customers that came and left. I told her i was not having this discussion any further and I was leaving to return with payment. She got on the phone and called the police. I returned 20min later and paid with cash. She told me i could not leave as the police were expected shortly
