  • Cigarettes

I went into esso on Dundas and Kendalwood in Whitby to buy cigarettes. Advertised price for premium cigarettes is 11.30 value 10.43. I purchased Peter Jackson (non premuim) and was charged $12.77. I asked the clerk if Peter Jackson are considered premium he said yes. I then asked " if I'm paying for premium, I'd like to trade for Du Maurier. He then said no. Those will cost $14.27. I then asked why the big sign advertising cigarettes prices(large, bold lettered sign behind counter on cigarette shelf), displayed premium for $11.30, and value at $10.43(before tax)and why he... November 23. 2016 To: Esso Customer Service Re.Esso Extra member #601777 3526 4327 1779 On November 20. 2016 I filed up at the Coalhurst, Alberta 201 - 51 Ave Esso station #00302964. The attendee forgot to run my Esso Extra, so he voided the 1st transaction #101982 for $103.62 that was processed at 12:52:32 and credited the amount of $103.62 at 12:53:42 Transaction #101983, than charged me again $103.83 at 12:54:42 Transaction #101984. However now (Nov. 23rd 2016) 3 days after the credit was supposedly processed, It does Not show in my bank. The payment was made by TD Debit... More...

  • False Advertising and Horrible Attendant

False Advertising of free car wash if the attendant does not ask. The attendant was RUDE and didn't care, while he continued to argue as a line up grew behind me. I had gone to the Bovaird and Hwy 10 Esso location in Brampton Ontario. I had filled up my tank and had wanted to get a car wash. I had noticed the signs saying "if the attendant does not ask, you get a free car wash" so I decided to try this out. While at the cash I was ready to pay and had gone through the entire process at which point I brought up the signs that say he is required to ask if I wanted a car... More...
  • Gas pump is faulty

I have fueled my car today at Esso station Danforth and Victoria park using pump # 9 VRN:R121461107. Pump is keep stopping after couple litters. Once I start again, even though meter is running but no fuel is coming in, it is noticeable. I have added about 37 litter and it stop 5 times. My tank was initially half full and my car tank usually takes almost 70 litter of gas. After adding 37 litter of gas my tank was not full and I have notified the cashier and did not get any reasonable answer for the discrepancy. I believe the pump is faulty which caused me at least few litters of gas.... More...
  • Charged Twice for Gas

Just wondering who I can talk to about the worst experience I have had at the March Road, Kanata location in Ottawa,Ontario. I went to Esso to get gas and was charged twice for my gas. The next day when I saw it was taken out of my account twice I first called my bank and they directed me to go back to the Esso. I returned to the Esso with the bank statment and receipt they told me it was impossible and to wait 24 hours and come back to see if it went back into my account. I waited no money went back into my account so returned to the Esso once again and had to fight with the staff to get... More...

  • Poor customer service

Washroom cleanliness. "If the customer does not find the cleanliness of the washroom facilities, the customer can accept a free air freshener". The washroom looked as though someone tried to clean the floor with toilet paper. Remains of the toilet paper were scattered all across the floor. As I came out, I told the person working about the issue, and his words were he was the only employee and didn't have time to clean it up. He False advertisement. July 24th 2:00 pm. More...
